Meet Your Therapist

I’m so glad you are here!

My name is Katie, and I’m a therapist that treats chronic illness, pain, burnout,
anxiety and more in Michigan.

I have always found it easier to be myself and a little less intimidating when
I know a bit about someone.
If you’re curious, here’s a little more about me:

Professionally,

  • I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and am a fully
licensed LLP within the state of Michigan.

  • I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200)

  • I am a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional

  • I hold a certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition for Holistic
    Health Coaching

  • I have extensive training and experience working with mind-body disorders (disorders that affect our body and our mind) such as chronic illness, OCD and related disorders, Panic Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, eating disorders, and trauma/CPTSD/PTSD.

  • I have worked in many levels of care including Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and outpatient settings primarily treating acute mental health concerns such as eating disorders, OCD, anxiety, and PTSD

  • I have developed a method and blend of treatment styles that I have seen work reliably for individuals to truly start feeling better

Personally,

  • I have lived with a chronic illness for all of my adult life, so I understand some of the emotions and hurdles you may be dealing with

  • I have used the same tools I use with clients to help me heal from a long battle
with painful emotions, panic attacks, and intrusive thoughts related to
OCD and panic (so I know they help!)

  • I have a wonderful, sassy, troublemaking little dachshund named
Henry, who will definitely join sessions from time to time to say hello!

  • Movement is my favorite part of the day - I love walking in nature, boxing and
MMA, yoga and pilates, and weightlifting

  • I love reading, painting, writing, sitting outdoors on a nice day, baking, and being with family and friends who lift my spirits
